Strobing in Taman Metropolitan, Kepong

Last week Tony invited me to a photography outing in Taman Metropolitan Kepong. I didn’t know where the hell that was, but apparently it’s a favorite spot for kite-flying and family picnics. Luckily I managed to get there without getting lost on the way… enough time to get the afternoon sun. When I arrived, the others (Tony & wife, Kichi, Tini, Nabil, Nadia) were already there shooting.
I brought my light stand and SB-600 to sit among the other 4-5 speedlights. However, we didn’t use all of them. Only about 3 …

Maybe a cheapo Cactus radio trigger would do.
These are the results from my early attempts…

the toddler

at this exact moment, Ayra Hanna has been with us for exactly 1 year and 12 hours! I can’t believe how fast the time just flew by. Happy Birthday Ayra!

I kinda wished that Ayra was growing up at a slower pace and gave us more time to soak in her baby phase! And now she’s becoming a toddler!

Molest Motel

Of course, my observation comes from watching countless B-movies. So what kept me safe while I was staying there?

A sign on my door telling people not to molest me…

Los Angeles & San Jose

Last month I was sent to US for about 3 weeks. But this time, it wasn’t for any airport-related projects. I had some tasks in a couple of Malaysian government agency offices in Los Angeles and San Jose. It was really tough to leave my family again… I don’t know if I can cope with long-term overseas assignments again. Yup… with a baby daughter at home, anything more than 2 weeks can be considered long-term. I can’t imagine what it would be like if I’m one of those travelling folks …
