I’ve been making and recording songs as a hobby for several years now. armed with whatever guitar and pc system that i have at the time of recording, i usually exert a certain degree of influence from whatever band i listen at that time.

doing this, it has increased my skills (not that i have much) in both guitar-playing and song-writing. but another aspect that i am proud of is that i have been able to mix metal songs at a fairly-decent quality. well, to my ears anyway. for comparison, listen to Filtered Sense (1999) and Fearful Solution (2004/5) and notice the difference.

i know that i’m not that good in much areas, but i take pride in progressing from ‘totally shitty’ to ‘a little shitty’ heheh…

Silent
a metal song. it sounds fine on my pc, but crap when played on my hi-fi. i need to learn how to properly mix and master recordings. a lot of the parts in this song was lifted from various songs coz i lack the creativity

Filtered Sense
an old song. crap sound… but i loved the drum beats. sadly i lost the fruityloops file and have no time to re-create it. forgive the fret-wanking.

Fearful Solution
another old song, remade. No solos, coz i’m trying to focus on the overall sound. i think this is the best sounding song i have ever made. heavy guitars, heavy drums.
