The Star today reported about Dr. Rais Yatim wants to stop Arabising the Malays.
Good point.
I want to be a good Muslim, but I don’t want to dress like Arabs to show my piety. I don’t need that. I wanna continue to dress like I do now, t-shirts and jeans. I know the original point is about the Malay culture as opposed to personal appearance, but somehow it’s related. I don’t like wearing baju melayu, coz when I smoke Sampoerna (which often lets out bursts of sparks) I will get 10 holes in 5 seconds.
And we all know that the Arabs aren’t that religious either :)
